Montpellier is blessed with good transport links around town, to neighbouring attractions, such as Nimes and St Guilhem le Desert, and to the more distant metropolises of Barcelona and Paris. By hopping on a tram, bus, or train you can quickly leave Montpellier behind and arrive at a beach, Roman amphitheatre, river running through a dramatic gorge, or one of the most beautiful villages in France.

In the subsections and articles linked below you’ll find out about places to see , the best ways to get to them, and how to avoid being all dressed up with nowhere to go on September 1.
